About this spot
A five-kilometre stretch of golden sand and flat turquoise water on Sicily's southeast coast, repeatedly awarded the Blue Flag for water quality. Wind blows side-shore and the shallow conditions are forgiving even for complete beginners. The surrounding landscape of sandy dunes and unspoiled coastline is among the most beautiful on the island — a peaceful alternative to the busy west-coast spots.
