Lago di Garda - Malcesine

Malcesine sits on the narrow eastern shoreline of Lake Garda and shares the same thermal wind system as Torbole to the north. The Ora arrives reliably each afternoon, and the Pelér can blow hard in the mornings, particularly in spring. The lake here is deep and blue, with a backdrop of Monte Baldo rising steeply behind the town.

The riding conditions are predominantly flat water, excellent for freeride and foiling. However, the shoreline is rocky and access points are more limited than in Torbole, requiring careful launch and landing planning. The spot is somewhat less crowded than Torbole, which appeals to more experienced riders who value space.

The town of Malcesine is a popular tourist destination with a well-preserved Scaliger castle, restaurants, and accommodation. Wind sports schools operate in the area during the season. Riders should be aware of ferry traffic and pleasure boat lanes on the lake.
