About this spot
Safaga is a well-known kiteboarding spot south of Hurghada, famous for its exceptionally strong and consistent thermal winds that often exceed 30 knots. The Red Sea here is choppy with waves, making it more suited to experienced riders. It is considered one of the windiest spots on the Egyptian Red Sea coast.
